  1. applaud registers a backend app with athenahealth's developer programme (athena's developer docs were blocked from our network, so the exact registration and practice-authorization steps need confirming from a US connection).
  2. The health centre authorizes applaud's app for its athenaOne practice.
  3. Several times a day, search Encounter by date or _lastUpdated with ah-practice (or run Group $export), keep dental-department visits, read Patient for first name, last name, mobile and email, and post to applaud's intake API.
  4. Confirm with a live practice that athenaOne Dental visits appear as Encounters in the same FHIR API as medical visits.

  1. The health centre creates a dedicated athena user for NexHealth with all roles (or schedule, department, provider and patient-chart roles) and installs NexHealth's Chrome extension v6 on each workstation.
  2. applaud subscribes to NexHealth appointment webhooks, keeps checked-out dental appointments, reads the patient, and posts to its intake API.

Upload to applaud

Import a spreadsheet of recent patients in your applaud portal, or add them by hand. Works with any system.

Upload to applaud: athenaOne Dental

  1. Export your recent patients from athenaOne Dental as a spreadsheet: first name and mobile number are all we need.
  2. In your applaud portal, open Patients and choose Import CSV, or add patients one at a time.
  3. That's it. applaud takes it from there.
