Connects through a script on your server

We install a small script on the computer that runs Dentrix Enterprise. It sends each visit to applaud automatically.

Connects through a script on your server: Dentrix Enterprise

  1. applaud installs a small HL7 v2 receiver on the DSO's network: an MLLP listener, or a watcher on the folder the interface writes to.
  2. The DSO's Dentrix Enterprise administrator adds an HL7 Site for applaud (system name, outbound system IP, receiving application and facility) and selects outbound ADT A04 and/or SIU S14 only, with no clinical messages.
  3. The receiver keeps PID-5 given/family name, the PID-13 phone with type MC and the visit date, discards every other segment, and posts to applaud's intake API.
  4. Confirm with HS1 HL7 Support (800.459.8067) whether the interface is licensed for the DSO and may send to a non-clinical system.

Connects by export

Recent patients are exported from Dentrix Enterprise and uploaded to applaud. A couple of minutes, and we can set it up with you.

  1. Letters > choose a patient report view; Patient Filters > Appointments > 'Existing Patients with appointment in date range' = the day.
  2. Create/Merge > 'Create Data File ONLY'; open in Excel, keep name, mobile and email, and send to applaud.
