Nextech sends each visit to applaud as it happens. Nothing for your team to do day to day.

Nextech certified FHIR R4 (g)(10) API: backend-services polling or bulk export of Encounter + Patient

  1. applaud registers a SMART Backend Services (system) app with Nextech through the developers-portal registration form, supplying its JWK Set URL.
  2. The practice asks Nextech to activate its FHIR services if they aren't already (activated practices appear in Nextech's endpoint bundle) and authorizes applaud's app.
  3. applaud polls GET /Encounter?_lastUpdated=ge… (or runs $export with _type=Patient,Encounter) and reads each linked Patient's given name and phone.
  4. Post first name + mobile to /api/v1/contacts. Unconfirmed: whether Encounter here marks completed visits as reliably as the Select API's 'fulfilled' status.

A connector tool links Nextech to applaud.

Keragon: Nextech 'Appointment updated' trigger

Connects through a partner tool: Nextech

  1. The practice (or applaud for it) connects its Nextech account in Keragon under Keragon's BAA. Keragon publishes no Nextech setup guide, so ask Keragon which Nextech credentials it needs.
  2. Build a workflow on 'Appointment updated', continue only when the status is fulfilled/checked out, and send first name + mobile to applaud's /api/v1/contacts by HTTP request.
  3. Unconfirmed: whether the trigger payload carries the appointment status and the patient's mobile, and how often Keragon polls Nextech. Test before going live.

Upload to applaud

Import a spreadsheet of recent patients in your applaud portal, or add them by hand. Works with any system.

Upload to applaud: Nextech

  1. Export your recent patients from Nextech as a spreadsheet: first name and mobile number are all we need.
  2. In your applaud portal, open Patients and choose Import CSV, or add patients one at a time.
  3. That's it. applaud takes it from there.
