  1. applaud registers a SMART Backend Services app with Nextech (developers-portal registration form) and supplies its JWK Set URL.
  2. The practice has Nextech activate its FHIR services and authorizes applaud's app.
  3. applaud polls GET /Encounter?date=ge{last run} (or runs a bulk export) and reads each linked Patient's given name and phone.
  4. Post first name + mobile to /api/v1/contacts. Unconfirmed: whether Patient.telecom carries a mobile flag in IntelleChart.

Import a spreadsheet of recent patients in your applaud portal, or add them by hand. Works with any system.
